Imran is the Director of Strategic Partnering, BD&L at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. Imran is responsible for scouting & forging business relationships within the Boston/Cambridge life-science ecosystem among, venture capital, family funds, angel investors, academia, biotech and other stakeholders.
Imran received Boehringer Ingelheim’s President’s Award within 2 years of joining BI. Imran founded Boehringer’s Grass Roots program, which is offered across 7 cities, globally. Imran was also the CBO for MassBio, where he founded MassConnect and Pharma Days, programs that continue 10 years after their founding. Imran brings over 20 years and a rich synthesis of life sciences corporate development (emerging and early stage), intellectual property and licensing, and policy experience at blue chip organizations like Millennium Pharmaceuticals (Takeda Pharmaceuticals), Genzyme Genetics (Lab Corps), Dana Farber and Mayo Clinic. Imran has been a member of the Boston Children’s Hospital Technology Development Fund steering group since 2011.
