Tom Hancox is currently the U.S Life Sciences Vice President for global staffing business Cpl. He has spent the majority of his career in London consulting global markets but in 2023 moved to Boston; Utilizing an academic background in International Business Management, Tom has spent the last decade working with biotech, pharma and med-tech partners to consult on attracting and retaining talent. He initially built the European commercial desk before inheriting oversight of Engineering, Quality Assurance and Scientific divisions, winning 3 annual group awards in his last 3 years before transitioning over to the U.S. Tom now oversees the expansion of the U.S-focused division. In Boston, he is responsible for driving Cpl’s strategy which pushes their 2024 commitment to ‘give back’ to the industry after a difficult year for biotech.
Cpl has proven their capabilities to run large full scale RPO’s & MSP’s with some of the biggest names in the industry, as well as tailored embedded solutions and single contingency/retained recruitment options. Cpl have invested in a 2024 programme set up to benefit the industry, including a range of thought leadership articles, networking summits, complimentary events, published salary surveys and complimentary (EVP / sustainability / ED&I etc.) workshops ran by their in-house strategy business, Cpl’s ‘Future of Work Institute’.
